[Here is a fully bundled Aerith, blue scarf wrapped loosely around her face as she smiles.]

Speed run! Don't try this at home. I'm a professional.

...Not really. But I've been practicing, and I think I'm getting better!

[This is about all the introduction given before the journal gets set down to show wide open sky, but once Aerith throws herself in its direction and sets things into a blur of motion, it quickly becomes apparent what she's doing: enjoying her toboggan present from Christmas. She seems to be quite childishly pleased with herself on the faster runs, and pouts when one bumpy ride ends only halfway down. Finally:]

All right, now for the obstacle course! [Tucking the journal under-arm, Aerith drags the toboggan ba-a-a-ck up. This time she turns it to a different position a few feet away and a very different angle. She starts out more slowly, letting gravity lead the way, and steers the tobaggan around trees and rocks, her expression turning focused as the wind whips back her hair. And then--] Oh, no, no! Move, rabbit, run! Hey--ah--!!!! [After wildly veering, once she hits a fallen tree, Aerith and journal are airborne. Too bad they have to come back down, but at least it's in a snowdrift, right?]

...Mmmf.

[...FEEL FREE TO ACTION IT UP / BE SLEDDING WITH HER? She's on the lower part of the mountain slope, closest to the village. Or just shake your head at her from afar, whatever.]

[ Did Lightning really follow Aerith again all the way out here? Yep, and she's got her dog with her too as she strolls up-- just as the other young woman GOES FLYING. ]

[ BRB DROPPING DOG IN THE SNOW AND TRUDGING UP VERY QUICKLY. ]

Aerith tries to respond, to show she's fine, but... snow. Muffled. Although she sounds awfully annoyed for the moment as she works on extracting herself.]

[ Hey, the dog will forgive her. She's carrying food and puppies like him love food; he'll pretty much have to. Also, he's a puppy and ~loves~ her.

And... well, Lightning doesn't have the experience to say for certain, but she doesn't really think Aerith is the type to sound annoyed if she's in actual trouble. The former soldier reaches the... impact site, frowning as she bends to try and help out if she can. ]

[Too bad it's hard to identify red blurs upside-down midflight. It takes until Aerith is dusting her shoulders off for it to register who she saw.]

Vincent! [She turns in his direction--a bit too fast for her head, whoo--and gives a small wave, looking sheepish. ...You just had to see it up close, huh?]

[ Faize stands a little ways off, where he knows he won't be crashed into by a stranger on a sled. His eyes are curious, and yet he shows apprehension, an unwillingness to approach her just yet. ]

[Said stranger is looking a mite grouchy as she swipes snow off her head, but she pauses at seeing Faize and his curious gaze.] Hello?

[Cloud's hoping Aerith is tougher than a snow drift and didn't break her neck on anything, but he's going to throw a jacket on and head over to the mountains anyway.]

[Yes, Cloud, Aerith is tougher than powdery snow. So much tougher, in fact, that when Cloud gets there he'll find Aerith challenging it all over again.

...More cautiously, though: the obstacle course is now on a much clearer path. There's mini-snowmen and sticks for markers.]

[ Takes a half-minute for Aerith to extricate herself from the snow and shake herself off, but once she does and finds the journal, she smiles past chattering teeth.] Y-yeah! Mostly. It's a lot colder when you get it down your coat. [Someone needs to do more shaking.]

[There's not much reason for Jack to be out sledding with Aerith, at all. They've never met after all. And yet, as she reaches the bottom of the slope, Jack is up next, only he's snowboarding. He certainly didn't catch wind of what she was doing and followed her in the hopes of impressing her with his impressive winter sports abilities.

Regardless of how this obvious coincidence occurred, Jack is descending the slope and looking pretty damn awesome about it, unaware of a very large, spiky rock in his path that, from his perspective at least, is covered in snow.]
