[Voice//Video] Two-for-one!

[Backdated to Thursday afternoon / Voice / 20% filtered from Claire Farron (good thing she wouldn't know how to hack anyway)]

Say, does anyone know a Claire?

Oh, and Zack? Need to hear from you. I promise I won't laugh at you being ridiculously shorter than me for once~ [So. He might. But just a little, honest!]

[TODAY / Video]

Whoa--whoa!

[Contrary to the icon, that voice sounds like Aerith's normal, female voice, if rather startled...and distant. Right now, the video only shows the fairly blank wall of Aerith's room in building 4. There's a pause, some water running, and then one door down the hallway opens and closes and the door to her room opens. She comes over to the journal immediately, looking over it to turn it on before realizing it already is.]

That's funny. A little too funny! (Why is it turning itself on?! And right after I changed back...in the bathroom. Thank goodness it couldn't catch that.)

[...Aerith is completely unaware that her second effect began nearly as soon as the first ended. So, unaware of what's broadcasting, she simply puts on a smile after a few seconds.]

...All right! I think everything's back to normal for me. So that's an experiment. Well, I've never cared for them much before, and I sure don't now! Changing minds and bodies like it's nothing... the Malnosso are creeps. (But that's so scary. Everything I remember changed.)

Well... I won't let them get to me. [She gives a firm nod, even if there's a touch of uncertainty in her expression.] Is anyone else back to normal? These last for about a week, right? Mm, I'm glad to be female again. I think I'm much cuter this way~

[Luckily for Aerith Cloud can't read her thoughts from her vantage point and turns a page. Her tone of voice, gestures and even posture are extremely similar; it's like someone just slapped Cloud's male head on a female body and tweaked the voice a little.]

Yup. Vincent keeps singing. And hitting on women.

[It's so very, very strange. Aerith will just...try to pretend all of her befuddlement is at the teammate who isn't present.

Granted, this is pretty easy, because what in the world are they doing to poor Vincent?]

Singing? He showed up in my closet a few days ago, so he's been affected by the teleporting too. [...That or he'd decided closets were the new coffin. But probably teleporting. And she's not surprised by the hitting on at all.] He's not going to be happy when this is over...

Yeah, he's getting reamed. He'll probably disappear for a while, not that that's anything new. [She glances up at Aerith through her bangs.]

Tifa hasn't been affected by anything yet, thank Holy.

Oh, good. I was wondering about her!

And what about you? [teeeeeesting...]

[There's like...two seconds of moral dilemma on do-I-say-something-or-not. All right, that's done; it was way too awkward for her being told she should be the opposite gender, she's not going to be the news-bearer for him. Her.]

Luckyyy. I just got stuck with a new one.

Yeah, like I said. That was weird.

[She seems to be fighting a smile as she returns her attention to her journal.] Though I guess you were sort of cute as a man.

[And now Aerith has to fight a blush rising to her cheeks. That's a new one, and unexpected given Cloud's earlier reaction. But given she'd been more attracted to girls as a guy... it kind of makes sense.

But sob, it's still so strange with Cloud looking and sounding much the same.]

That doesn't do me any good now! You should have said so before.

[Cloud sputters and busies herself with looking at her journal. SHE COULDN'T SAY IT THEN OKAY YOU WERE A DUDE THEN

...except why didn't she think it then? This is weird.]

Whatever. I wouldn't want you to get a big head, SOLDIER-candidate.

[The reaction gets a giggle and laugh out of Aerith because hahah, even as a girl Cloud flusters the same.]

Oh, so you're looking out for my best interests? Trying to keep me humble? Well, I can say... I think you'd be really cute as a guy. [Just. Returning the compliment! With the added fun of Cloud actually being a guy, lol.] But right now, you're just teasing me!

Don't say that, please. They might get some weird ideas. [Cloud does not want to imagine herself with dangly bits.]

Yes ma'am! Lips zipped. [Helpful miming, with a gleam in her eye. Oh, Cloud.]

...But, you know...it might help to wear a dress every once in a while.

[Her thought bubble is doing some very helpful illustrations of Miss Cloud in various dresses. She can't help it, okay, Cloud is actually a girl now.]

I hate dresses, Aerith. [Cloud says this flatly, as if they'd had this discussion many times before.]

But have you really tried them? And I mean more than just that one. [He's going to wonder why they even had this discussion later, I bet.]

Yeah, Mom would put me in dresses all the time. I hated it.

[Even better; he's going to pretend it never happened.]

...Hey, Cloud, did you--? [Still leave Nibelheim for Midgar, try to be a SOLDIER, pretend to be a SOLDIER...but that's all a sensitive subject still and will definitely tip Cloud off that something is weird. Aerith hums, looking pensively at Cloud's face as if that could tell her what female Cloud remembers life as. Her thought bubble is showing SOLDIER--the broadsword, the uniform.

Then she looks away, at the rest of the apartment, and the image changes to Tifa.] How is it, staying with just Tifa? Oh, but it's probably not much of a change from back home, right?

[Uh Aerith trailing off like that is still pretty weird. Cloud gives her a bemused look, closing the journal and laying it on her stomach to stare at Aerith out of the corner of her eye.]

Not really.

What were you trying to ask?

[Shoooot. Glancing back at that stare.] It was a weird question.

That's kind of par the course with you.

Hey, hey! I ask normal questions too, mist--

[YOU ARE NOT A MISTER RIGHT NOW.]

[Oh my God Aerith that was so weak. SO MUCH SUSPICION.]

--Anyway, I was wondering if you ever liked anyone in SOLDIER. [WELL. Not the most gracefully asked question (when does she do graceful questions), but the answer might give some indication about whether "she" was in Shinra or not?]

[Cloud flushes from her neck all the way to her ears and she immediately busies herself with her journal again.]

Well-

I mean there weren't all that many women in the army so it was mostly guys twenty-four seven. I kind of got used to being around them all the time. [Thus the ugly boy haircut and the manly clothes.]

[...that is a very interesting shade of red you're wearing today, Miss Cloud.]

For being used to the guys, you sure do blush at the thought of them~
